The property is charming, cozy, warm, and inviting. We loved it. While it lacks some of the luxuries of modernization, such as updated bathrooms, etc., to us that was only a plus. We loved our stay here. It was exactly what we needed - time away from the hectic pace of life. We ordered a dinner for the first night of our stay and were served in the 3 season patio area, heated with outdoor heaters. It was so romantic (and delicious). We reconnected and relaxed. Allison was always available to tend to whatever our needs were but she was not intrusive. Truly a wonderful weekend. On top of all that, Allison is just a lovely person. You won’t regret staying here if you’re looking for a charming, peaceful, relaxing stay.

Allison, the host, was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the room was beautifully decorated in a thematic fashion décor of antiques representing the time period they were from, which made it feel like a home away from home. The breakfast spread was wonderful and made to order springboarding the start of my day. Finally, the historical charm of the house, combined with the modern amenities, created a unique and memorable experience. The serene surroundings and quiet atmosphere made it the perfect retreat for me from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The place was absolutely exceptional!! I was looking at some of the other reviews and there were people actually giving this place an 8 but yet having nothing bad to say about it? the 9.5 should be 9.9 or 10 across the board!! The place was perfect! The host Allison was very friendly from the very beginning, our room was fantastic, the grounds were beautiful, the breakfast was perfect! the place was very well decorated had an old fashioned feeling to it... built a fire in the fire pit, drank some wine... very relaxing 10 star place!!!

The Inn was a beautiful place to stay. It is located on a lovely parcel with great places to relax and view. The innkeeper is very personal, made us feel welcomed and part of her 'family'. The staff was very accommodating and attentive to assisting us however we needed. Breakfast was held in an incredible room with many accoutrements and decorative accents. We didn't want to leave~

Although Dresden is a distance from Zanesville when one is driving through on Highway 70, we have stayed at The Pines numerous times because it's a charming oasis decorated beautifully with antiques and hosted by a lovely woman named Allison. She prepares gourmet breakfasts (and dinners for an extra charge) and makes you feel comfortable in this home away from home.
